We exist to connect communities through lasting projects and that is why we are exploring practical actions to help drive our contribution to reconciliation within SYSTRA and in the communities in which we operate.

Our Innovate Reconciliation Action Plan

SYSTRA ANZ has committed to an Innovate Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) which was endorsed 1 May 2023 for a two-year period. This RAP details our planned actions to continue to develop and strengthen relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, engaging staff and stakeholders in reconciliation.

The company is committed to Diversity and Inclusiveness in the Workplace and recognises that we must create a space for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander voices to be heard and represented within our industry. SYSTRA ANZ are proud to partner with a number of different Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander organisations, businesses and communities to progress our reconciliation journey and deliver on our purpose.

Part of our commitment includes being a sponsor of the Engineering Aid Australia program, which provides Indigenous High School students with an aptitude for math and science to complete High School, go onto study Engineering at University and become a Professional Engineer.

The graphic design and printing of the Innovate RAP was provided by Ochre Dawn a 100% Aboriginal owned and managed company based in South Australia. SYSTRA ANZ also engages the services of Position Promo, an Indigenous owned promotional marketing business operating nationally and Kulbardi, an Indigenous owned business in South-West Sydney for the provision of office equipment and supplies.

Our RAP proudly includes the artwork of Saretta Fielding and the Malang Indigenous Corporation, who have also designed and produced Acknowledgement of Country plaques for our Australian offices.

We have established a working group to support the further development and implementation of the RAP. Todd Russell, Founder of CATOnline has a permanent position on our RAP working group. Che Taylor is also a member of our RAP working group, a proud community member from South Australia. Both Todd and Che have helped to guide the RAP Working Group on learning more, understanding better and considering actions to best partner and support the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities in which we live and operate. We are very thankful for their contributions and guidance.

Our CEO remains the champion of our RAP and The Executive Leadership team supports the working group initiatives.
